Los Angeles, CA ? Kenneth Charles Longhurst, 93, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2002 in Marina del Rey, California. He was born November 14, 1908 in Woodruff, Utah to Charles George and Margaret Bryson Longhurst. He has lived in Utah, Idaho and California. He worked in sales for the May Company and owned a café. He married Elizabeth Mamey Longhurst. While living in Logan, he was President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Elks. Kenneth was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He has held many callings throughout the years, including: Scoutmaster, home teacher, teacher of the genealogy class, Executive Secretary of the Winchester 11th Ward in the Inglewood Stake and was set apart as a worker in the Genealogical Library in Los Angeles. He also has held the office of First Councilor in the Regional Library, being set apart by Elder Ferrin Christensen. He enjoyed attending the temple regularly. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; a son, Morris Kenneth Longhurst Ebeling; his grandchildren, great grandchildren,and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Jean Longhurst Pynes and a brother, J Glen Longhurst. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2002 at the Logan City Cemetery. Service arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home.
