Kenneth Burt Layton passed away at 58 years old on September 9th, 2024, peacefully in the comfort of his own home. Kenneth was born to Joan Ruby Oswald, and John Clair Layton, January 11th, 1966, at Latter Day Saints hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Many of his childhood years would be spent on the Idaho farms of his family. Learning the simple joys of spending days with his cousins and brothers among the fields. He would spend most life in Idaho, living close to his family and friends eventually his late teenage years would see him moving out to learn life’s lessons. Until he eventually moved to Utah where he would meet his first and only wife, Cinthia Cousins. Marrying in July 1995 they would have two sons, Alexander and Nicolas. In the year 2011 the family would be given an impossible situation. Cynthia had passed leaving her two sons and ex husband to live to the best of their abilities. Doing the best that he could with an impossible situation, assuming the role of sole provider for himself and two kids. He would have a variety of employment opportunities throughout his life from manufacturing the spices we enjoy every day in life. Later having an integral part in ensuring our medicine is safe for use.
Kenneth was many things in his life, brother, son, cousin, father, and to others and absolute pain in the backside. He was always an easy person to get along with, but for every time he would help you out of a rough place, he would crack a joke at your expense. It was part of who he was. The love was always deep and genuine. If you were being dumb, he would be the first to let you know. This was precisely why people came to love and respect him. Many people will withhold their criticisms or hide their intentions behind a mask. With Kenneth that was never a problem, he excelled in something most of us struggle with, authenticity.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his father John Clair Layton and his sister Wendy Hildreth Layton. He is survived by his two sons Alexander and Nicolas.
