Kathy Jean Burris

Kathy Jean Burris, 46, passed away peacefully in her home November 3, 2005 due to natural causes. She was born September 15, 1959 in Logan, Utah to W. Deloy and Shirley Burris. Kathy grew up in Hyrum, Utah and graduated from Sky View High School in 1977. At the time of her , she was employed by Icon. All her life, Kathy exemplified a great love and admiration for the outdoors, and would be the most happiest with a fishing pole in her hands, fishing the great streams of the Blacksmith Fork Canyon , as well as hiking the trails and mountains hunting for deer or elk. She truly was an outdoors kind of gal. Kathy also participated in many sports and also had a knack for woodworking and building birdhouses. She was an awesome cook and always made the best homemade pies from scratch. Kathy was a friend to everyone and especially loved being an Aunt to her many nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly. Kathy has a special place in the hearts of many. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she loved everyone. While she will be greatly missed by all who knew her, her family looks forward to an eternal reunion in the hereafter. Kathy was preceded in by her father, W. Deloy, Grandpa Harold, Grandma Amy and Grandmother Jenny. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Burris of Logan; two brothers: Bart Burris of Logan and Craig Sharie Burris of Young Ward and children, Landyn, Hayden, Sierra; one sister, Susan Brian Auger and children, Brindee, Chase, Brooklyn and Dylan. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2005 at the Hyrum 5th/7th Ward Chapel, 190 West Main, Hyrum. Friends and family may call Sunday evening at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
