Karen Karnely Jensen Tremonton: Karen Karnely Jensen, 52, returned to her Heavenly Father on August 29, 2002, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born February 8, 1950, to Frank and Aletha Karnely in Brigham City, Utah. Karen graduated from Bear River High School. She lived in Tremonton her entire life. She married Steven K. Jensen on June 3, 1968, in Tremonton. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS temple. She was active in the LDS church serving in various callings in the Relief Society, stake Young Women?s sports, Primary and Young Women?s organizations. She also served for years in the extraction program. Karen always had a positive attitude during her 22-year battle with MS. She was an example to everyone that she came in contact with. She managed to brighten the lives of all those who came to visit her. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose selflessness always lifted the experiences of others and one of her greatest joys was giving to others. Her bubbly personality, sense of humor, unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and personal testimony allowed us to accept the challenges she faced in her life. Before she became unable, she enjoyed softball, dancing, and other activities. Later her greatest joy cam from her grandchildren by having slumber parties, watching games and shows, eating treats, having them sit with her and read to her, as well as just being together. She has left a legacy for others to follow, teaching those left behind to give their all, always be cheerful, upbeat, never complaining or losing the ability to see the funny side of things. Karen is survived by her husband, her four children, Todd Raquel, Greg Cherylyn of Tremonton, Alison Mitch Kincaid of Ghent, Kentucky, and Angela of Logan, 11 grandchildren, her parents, and one sister, Kathleen Martin Raish of Rigby, ID. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton Third/Eighth Ward Chapel, 9590 North 6800 West. Friends and family may call Monday, September 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East and Tuesday, September 3rd from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. at the Tremonton Third/Eighth Ward Chapel.
