Tremonton-June Norr Holmgren, 89, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2005 at the Bear River Valley Care Center. She was born June 10, 1916 in Logan, Utah to Lorenzo Harris and Alverna Reese Norr. She married Wayne David Holmgren March 16, 1937. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
Mother loved her family, friends and community. She believed that it was important to live in a place where the people know about you when you are born and care about you when you die. She enjoyed being with her family, traveling with her husband and needlework. June was a residential land developer with her husband, co-owner of The Classic Shop, she was involved in the Bear River Valley Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in Stake and Ward Primary callings, scouting, Relief Society and genealogy extraction.
Surviving are her children: Tamara H. Clair Zollinger, Tremonton; Jill H. Richard Packer, Brigham City, Lyle N. Kathy Holmgren, Tremonton; Val Wayne JoAnna Holmgren, Logan; one sister, Doramae George Michael, Brigham City; two brothers: Reese "Bud" Betty Norr and James Beth Norr both of Brigham; 29 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by one son, David; one daughter, Susan; and two sisters: Adele and Maurine.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton Stake Center, 660 North 300 East, Tremonton. Friends and family may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Monday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Tremonton Stake Center. Interment at Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
