On November 30, 2008, Josephine Faye Wennergren Jensen was peacefully taken home to "that God who gave her life". Faye was born August 30, 1924 in Newton, Utah to Emil F. and Camilla Yonk Wennergren. She attended elementary and secondary schools in Cache County and graduated from Logan High School in 1942 where she was involved in student government. She attended Utah State University, was member of Chi Omega sorority and graduated in 1946 with a degree in business. She worked at Zion's Bank until she married Harold M. Jensen on October 19, 1951 in the Logan LDS Temple. She bore and raised, what she felt, as all mothers do, were two great sons, Bruce and Wayne. Faye was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was always happy to see her children and especially her grandchildren, Bryant, Garrett and Camille and always had something good to eat, quite often her famous freezer cookies. Faye had a strong testimony of the gospel and was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in a variety of callings both in her ward and stake until she left her home to reside at Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in 2005. She is survived by her son Wayne Laurel of Logan and her grandchildren, Bryant, Garrett and Camille. She was preceded in her passing by her parents, her husband, Harold, her son Bruce, two brothers, E. Earl Wennergren and E. Boyd Wennergren and her sister Lillie. She was part of a family she thought of as wonderful, many of whom are greeting her now. Those who remain will miss her and think she was pretty wonderful too. Friends and family may call one hour prior to brief funeral services which will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Bruce H. Jensen Memorial Scholarship at the USU Huntsman School of Business or the American Alzheimer's Society. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at
