Honeyville - Our loving son, brother, and friend, Joseph Shawn Perkins returned to his heavenly home and into the caring arms of his Grandpa Rasmussen on Sunday, March 5, 2006.
Joseph was born May 21, 1982 in Ogden, Utah to Joe and Kathy Rasmussen Perkins. He was reared in Clearfield and moved to Tremonton in 1992. He was a priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed his years in scouting. He graduated from Bear River High School in 2000. He had many friends and was loved by all who knew him.
For the past four years he was employed by Wal-Mart Distribution. He will be missed and hard to replace. Most of all, Joseph loved to play with his nieces and spend time with his brothers. He loved camping, hunting and fly fishing with his family. He also enjoyed golfing, snowboarding and playing Texas Hold-em.
He is survived by his parents, Honeyville, sisters: Julie Eliason, South Ogden, Lisa Jason Summers, Bothwell; brothers: Brandon and ?Patch? Patrick Perkins, Honeyville; three nieces: Krystal Eliason, Ashlyn Eliason and Katelyn Summers. He is also survived by his Grandparents: Dale and Patricia Perkins, Nibley, Beverly Rasmussen, Layton and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Gene Rasmussen, Great Grandmother Gladys Roper and Great Aunt Florence Hammer.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Honeyville LDS Ward Chapel, 2620 West 6980 North, Honeyville with Bishop Blair Perry officiating. Friends and family may call Sunday, March 12 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and also at the church Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Interment at Elwood Cemetery.
