Jonathan Ray Torkelson

June 14, 1982 — May 2, 2005

Jonathan Ray Torkelson, son of Mark and Raynae Torkelson, of Logan returned to his heavenly home on May 2, 2005. Jon was born in Logan, Utah on June 14 ?Flag Day? 1982. Jon enjoyed most any outdoor activity including water skiing, surfing, rappelling, and cliff diving, especially if it included his best friend, Todd Johnson. Some of Jon?s favorite memories included time listening to music, trips to Pennsylvania by bus, family vacations and a science trip to the Tetons. Jon enjoyed being around children and those who were children at heart. Jon is survived by his parents of Logan, a sister Kelline Schultz of Salt Lake, brothers, Jeremy of Logan and Benjamin serving in the California Arcadia Mission; Grandparents Donald ?Ray? and Anita Cornwall of Hines, Oregon. Jon also leaves behind a special brother, Brian Schultz of Tucson, Arizona; his ?home away from home? parents, Darrell and Charlene Johnson, plus many other friends and relatives. Jon has joined his Grandparents Helen and Vesper ?Tork? Torkelson, who preceded him to the heavens above. Whether you knew him as Jon, Johnny T, Jonathan, Jonathan Ray or Jonny Tork, we will all miss his mischievous smile and wonderful sense of humor. There will be a viewing held Friday, May 6, 2005 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan with Graveside services at 1:00 p.m. in the Logan City Cemetery. All friends are welcome to attend. In the case of inclement weather, services will be held at Nelson Funeral Home. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
