John Hughes

Tremonton-Our loving Husband, Son, Brother and Uncle John Richard Hughes passed away, June 4, 2011 in Logan, UT. He was born June 23, 1957 in Downey, CA to John Marlo and Marlene Marie Morris Hughes. He lived in Norwalk, CA, San Luis Obispo, CA and Tremonton, UT. He attended Arroyo Grande High School.
John married Jeana Kay Hilleshiem February 8, 1997 in Salt Lake City, UT and their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple.
John worked as a CNA and also in trophy industry where he was involved in making and casting trophies. He enjoyed his involvement in the FFA and also loved Horticulture, Agriculture and helping people. He had a sweet personality and was a people person and had a special place in his heart for people with special needs. He faithfully served his country in the US Army.
John was an Elder in the Tremonton 11th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. John is survived by his wife, parents, sisters: Nancy Loren Lebow, Helen Pete Abercrombie and Michelle Bronson, sister-in-law Jill Taylor and brother-in-law Jan Hilleshiem. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and his two dogs Onxn and Sporty.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 1:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton. Friends may call Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30a.m.-12:40p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Estates Cemetery in Salt Lake City.
