On January 2, 1922 Joan Marie Natelli Badham and her twin sister were born to Antonio and Barbara Natelli in Seattle, Washington. Joan and her twin sister, Evelyn, were the new year?s babies that year. Joan was the tenth child out of 12 brothers and sisters. They shared a beautiful Italian ancestry. Their parents, Antonio and Barbara immigrated from Italy to America in the early 1900?s. Joan has 13 children and 42 grandchildren. Her children are: Delbert Campbell Ann, Steven Walker Marilyn?deceased, David Campbell Ann, Jolyn Clark Jerel, Doug Campbell Debbie, Scott Campbell Donna, Janel Campbell Max, Patty Glen Vaughn, Greg Campbell deceased, Kristi Jensen Chuck, Kelley Campbell Elaine, Roger Campbell Kelline and Mark Campbell Cathy. She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and sisters, a son, and a grandson. She has one surviving brother, Carl Natelli, and three surviving sisters, Jeannette McNeal, Jennie Talerico, and Lee Field. After being a single parent for 20 years she met and married her husband Roy Badham. They had a sweet marriage. Mom and Roy not only enjoyed each others company but also each others children as well. We had the privilege of knowing that Mom?s death was imminent. When asked by one of her sons what was the most important thing she wanted him to know she said, ?That Jesus is not only your Saviour, but also your friend, and he loves you.? Joan was an active member in the LDS Church since her conversion as a young Mother at the age of 24. She was valiant in her testimony and her life reflected her beliefs even in the hardest of trials. She never doubted her faith, her religion, or her God. Her love for her children and those around her was apparent in her last breathing moment on earth.
