Joan Hickman Heyder

Snowville, UT - Joan Hickman Heyder, 78, of Snowville, passed away, Monday, August 8, 2005 at home.
Joan was born July 24, 1927 in Ogden, Utah a daughter of Dan Adams and Ada A. Wright Hickman. She married William A. Heyder January 9, 1948. Their marriage was solemnized July 20, 1973 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died May 5, 1988.
Joan was the postmaster in Snowville for 39 years.
Joan was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in many auxiliaries and family history extraction. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and served as secretary.
Surviving are her children: William A. Jr. Kathy, Snowville; Dan E. Jeanie, White Sulphur Springs, MT; James W., Timothy L. Lori both of Snowville; Barbara J. Joel Shuman, Tremonton; and Jayne A. Alvin Robbins , Stone, ID; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Warren Marilyn Hickman, Murrietta, CA and sister, Margaret Plum, Salt Lake City.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Kalan D. Hickman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, at 12:00 noon at the Curlew LDS Chapel in Snowville with Bishop Dennis Roe, officiating. Family and friends may call Friday, August 12 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Saturday at the church from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Interment in the Snowville Cemetery.
