DEWEYVILLE ? Jessy La Mar Earl died on Wednesday October 11, 2006 in Logan, Utah. He was born on March 20, 1931, in Elwood, Utah, a son of Jessy J. and Verna Larsen Earl. He married Ann Eichmeier on December 27, 1957 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was raised in Box Elder County, graduating from Bear River High in 1950. He received his BS and MS degrees from Utah State University. During the Korean Conflict he served with the US Navy as a Second Class Petty Officer. His Boot Camp and training school were in San Diego, California. He was stationed in San Francisco and Kodiak, Alaska. He was Quartermaster of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7934. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and Sons of the Utah Pioneers. He taught school at Little Valley School on Promontory, Southeast Elementary Moab, Fielding School, and Bunderson Elementary Brigham City, Utah, retiring in 1987. He also worked for the Box Elder County Mosquito Abatement for many years. After retirement, he earned a Utah State Real Estate License and worked at K-Mart. He was a member of the LDS Church, serving in the Sunday School presidency and as a clerk of the Deweyville ward. He was a High Priest. Surviving are his wife, Ann; son, Calvin L. Earl of South Weber; daughters: Lisa Jefferson Saraiva of Nibley; and Brenda Earl of Chandler, Az; grandchildren: Angela Matt Cole of Los Angeles, Ca; Cameron Earl of Phoenix, Az; Derek, Nicole, Barry and Adrianna Saraiva of Nibley. He is also survived by his two sisters: Julia Norman Gleed of Eagle, Id and Rheta Keith Burnham of Highlands Ranch, Co, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and children: Katheryn, Terrance, and Darren Earl. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Deweyville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home, Logan. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
