Garland - Jerrald D. Williams, 52, of Garland, died on Sunday, March 21, 2004 at his residence. He was born on February 16, 1952 in Soda Springs, Idaho, the son of Evan DeVerl and Ruth Hansen Williams. He married JuLee Ann Robbins Deakin on March 7, 1975 in Tremonton, they later divorced. He married Julie Summers Richins on June 30, 1994, their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on September 9, 2000. Jerry moved to Garland at an early age. He attended School there and graduated from Bear River High School. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army. He lived in Tremonton and Garland most of his life. Jerry worked at Thiokol as a heavy equipment operator since 1976. He was a member of the Tremonton Fire Department and The Utah Fireman's Association, a lifetime member of the Golden Spike Trap Club, and a member of the N.R.A. Jerry was an avid fisherman and hunter, and loved the outdoors. His sense of humor and loving personality will be missed by many. Jerry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was currently serving as a High Priest in the Garland 3rd Ward. He is survived by his wife Julie S. Williams of Garland; daughter - Kortnie Courtney Wallace of Logan; son - Trent Lamere of Brigham; stepchildren - Kati Richins of Oregon, Ryan Richins of Riverside, April Richins, and Holly Richins of Garland; Granddaughter - Taylie; Mother - Ruth H. Williams of Garland; Brothers - Gene Williams of Tremonton, James Williams of Arizona, and Brett Williams of Bothwell; sister - Lana Whitaker, of Deweyville. His father, and brother - Blake, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2004 at the Garland 3rd Ward, 175 South Main. Friends may call on Wednesday, March 24 from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, and Thursday from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Garland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Liver Research fund in memory of Jerrald D. Williams through The Deseret Foundation, P.O. Box 1107, Salt Lake City, UT 84110-9908. Family would like to thank the LDS Hospital Liver Clinic, the Bear River Valley Hospital, and Dr. Douglas Walker, and staff, and many friends and family for their love and support.
