Jeffery Robert Follette, age 53, of Richmond, passed away on June 3, 2015. He was born in Logan to Maurine Nielsen and Robert Dean Follette on March 18, 1962. Jeff was predeceased by his father.
Jeff was the 3rd child of 4, including Julie Follette, Robert Buckley, and Kelly Follette. He met the love of his life, Patricia Riebeek, in Logan and got married on April 15, 1981. Jeff and Patricia had four wonderful children Josh, Amanda, Melissa, and Alex. Furthermore, Jeff was the proud grandfather of Felix Morgan.
Jeff graduated from Logan High in 1981 and went on to BATC where he graduated in 2009 with a CDL. Jeff held many jobs throughout his life with the most recent being at the Cache County Senior Citizen Center, where he enjoyed working with the elderly.
Jeff's hobbies included ham radio operation, in which he was involved in several clubs, including the Richmond Stake Emergency Response Communications club. His call sign was KC7VEG. Jeff was also fond of gardening and was known for growing giant pumpkins, delicious corn, and plump tomatoes. In the evenings, he frequently watched MASH reruns while listening to his amateur radio scanner.
He will be loved and remembered fondly by his family and friends.
A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., June 8, at the Nelson Funeral home in Logan, 162 East 400 North. A viewing will start at 9:30 a.m., then funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at the Richmond LDS church house, 150 South, 100 East.
