Jean Wright Hunsaker

Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Jean Wright Hunsaker, 59, returned to our Heavenly Father on April 3, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 26, 1948, in Tremonton, Utah, to Emron Hopkins and Amy Christopherson Wright. She married Wayne Lewis Hunsaker in the Logan LDS Temple on September 18, 1968. They have been blessed with eight children, their pride and joy. While growing up, mother lived in Moses Lake, Washington, Flagstaff, Arizona, and returned to Tremonton, where she graduated from Bear River High School. Upon graduating, she was chosen to spend a month touring Europe with the All American High School Choir. She attended Utah State University. After getting married, she and her husband moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he attended the National College of Chiropractic. She spent the next five years in Tremonton, before moving to Hyrum, Utah, in 1979. Music has always been part of her life. She was a gifted vocalist, pianist and organist, sharing these talents with family, friends and community brought much joy into the lives of others. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she found much satisfaction in her service. She will be remembered fondly for her infectious personality, her laughs, smiles, her sense of humor and warm hugs. She is survived by her husband and eight children, Shaun W. and Tracy Hunsaker of Roy, Brenda and Michael Olsen of Las Vegas, Nevada, Brian and Bobbie Hunsaker of Clearfield, Sheri and Jason Stats of Layton, Paul E. Hunsaker of Roy, Val Ray and Cindy Hunsaker, Clinton, Carl J. Hunsaker of Hyrum, and Marie and Dax Fossum of Springville and 27 grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters and one brother, Kathy Howard Nicholas of Texas, Alan Teresa Wright of Arizona and Tami Lee Stevenson of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Larry Jay and Paul Christopherson Wright. A viewing will be held Monday April 7, 2008 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, Utah, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held on Tuesday April 8, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Hyrum, Utah North Stake Chapel, 245 Apple Drive, Hyrum, Utah with a viewing prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Elwood Cemetery, Elwood, Utah at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
