Javier Ortiz Mendoza

Javier Ortiz Mendoza, 44, passed away at his home in Hyrum Sunday, June 25, 2006. He was born December 2, 1961 in La Huerta Vieja, Mexico to Pablo Rivera Mendoza and Leonor Sirvia Ortiz. He spent his growing years in Mexico and came to the United States at the age of 17. He as resided in Hyrum for the past seventeen years, working at E.A. Millers and most recently Tyco. He was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing and electronics. He had a mechanical ability at building things and was a workaholic. He is survived by his wife, Mireya Alejandre Mendoza; children: Leonor, Esmeralda, Javier Jr., Emmanuel, Sayde, Sujely, Cindy; and grandchildren: Sabrina, Sandy, Anthony, and Evelyn. He is also survived by his father, Pablo. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leonor and a brother, Miguel. Services will be held with a Mass at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 795 North 800 East, Logan with Father Clarence Sandoval officiating.
