Riverside - Jasper Lee Hammer, 61, died surrounded by his family and friends on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at his daughter's residence. He was born on November 1, 1942 to Jasper Lee Hammer and Florence Mary Christiansen in Tremonton, Utah. He was reared and educated in the Bear River Valley. He graduated from Davis High School where he played many sports including basketball and track. He loved to fish and hunt, read and going gold prospecting in Alaska where he lived for 20 years and then returned to Garland.
Surviving are his children: Aaron Lee Emily Hammer, Logan, Tina Wayne Parkinson, Riverside, Todd Charles Hammer, Clearfield; one stepdaughter, Terrylynn Craig Houston, Alaska; one brother, Martin Hammer, Alaska; three sisters, Peggy Halls, Garland, Patsy Bossio, New Jersey, Sally Tilton, Alaska; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Todd Eugene Dyches son-in-law. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one brother, Jackie Ray.
The family will hold private services at a later date.
