Janice Rasmussen Lenhart

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. Our mother, Janice Rasmussen Lenhart, 83, passed away Monday, September 25, 2006. Mom was born in Smithfield, Utah, October 7, 1922 to Alfred G. and Mildred Hope Rasmussen. Mom married Dad, Lloyd Lenhart, June 27, 1941 in Brigham City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She attended Smithfield and North Cache High Schools. She lived 19 years in Smithfield and the rest of her life in Providence. Mom was a loving wife and mother. Her focus in life was her family and service to others. Mom was a member of the LDS Church, where she had many teaching opportunities. She was a member of the Cache County Mayors Auxiliary and served as Secretary/Treasurer. Mom is survived by a daughter, Coy L. Nyman Jay; a son, Brad L. Lenhart Kim; a brother, LaVar Rasmussen; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, where friends and family may call from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
