Janet Elizabeth Sproles Kesling returned to the arms of her Heavenly Father on November 3, 2007, after a 30-year battle with multiple sclerosis. Janet was born in Bethesda, Maryland, to Coman Leonard and Sadie Gifford Miller Sproles. She married Willard Ray Kesling, Jr. on September 6, 1969, in Rockville, Maryland. They were later sealed in the Washington Temple. Janet and Will lived in Pensacola, Florida and Jekyll Island, Georgia, while Will served in the Navy. Afterward, they made their homes in Tennessee, Indiana, Utah and Florida. Janet was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Counselor in the Relief Society in the Mt. Vernon, Indiana, and Logan, Utah Wards. She also served in the Cub Scouts for many years and received many awards of merit. Janet was a member of the Northern Utah Choral Society when Will was the Artistic Director. Janet?s homes were tastefully decorated and she worked hard to keep them clean and neat when she was able. She was a ?Super Mom? to her son Shawn. Janet had a sunny disposition and never complained of her illness. She also had a wonderful sense of humor. Janet is survived by her husband Willard R. Kesling, Jr. of Gainesville, Florida; son, Shawn Michael Kesling of Gainesville, Florida; her parents, Coman L. and Sadie M. Sproles, of Logan; her sister Bonnie J. Kesling, of Gainesville, Florida; her father-in-law, Willard R. Kesling, of Smithsburg, Maryland; her Aunt, Jean M. Headley of Middletown, Virginia; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
