Janet Ann Johnson Miller

January 17, 1941 — July 21, 2007

Janet Ann Johnson Miller, 66, passed away peacefully, her family by her side, on July 21, 2007, at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, Utah following a lengthy bout with cancer. Janet was born in Nampa, Idaho on January 17, 1941 to William Elmer and Althora Johnson the youngest of seven children. Raised on a farm in Kuna, Idaho, she grew up riding horses, working in the fields and doing all of things necessary on a farm. She married Farl Edwin Miller on April 11, 1979 in the Logan, LDS temple and inherited 8 children to add to her son from a previous marriage. Farl and Janet lived in Logan for 27 years and raised their 9 children, several foster children and foreign exchange students. She has been a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life, and had a strong testimony of the gospel. She served a mission to Scotland and later two missions with Farl to Charleston, West Virginia and Independence, Missouri.
Janet is survived by her husband Farl, of Logan; children Jared Melissa of Pueblo, Colorado; Richard Sarah of Elberta, Utah; Lisa Lloyd Peterson of Ogden, Utah; Bryan Jan of Freedom, Wyoming; Tina Steven Buckner of Logan, Utah; Jennifer Gerardo Rocha of Salt Lake City, Utah; Anthony JoDee of West Valley, Utah; Jason Lyssa of Logan, Utah; John Kellie of Tokyo, Japan; Tomas and Isabel Ochoa of Logan, Utah; Claudia Dominguez of Logan, Utah; 25 Grandchildren; Brothers: Juan, Russell, Burton, Earl, Mark; sisters: Realla, Maxine, and Echodell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Norma and a brother, Dwain.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, July 25, 2007, in the Logan 3rd Ward Chapel, 250 North 400 West, Logan, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home with Bishop Troy Johnson conducting. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Janet?s children and grandchildren have learned much through her example of service, faith, hard work, courage, patience and perseverance. She has entertained her family with her special love of music and her great sense of humor. We will miss you Mom!
