Jack H. Clark, 74, of River Heights passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 3, 2004, at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City. Jack was born October 4, 1929 to Carl and Della Jeppsen Clark in Logan. On October 5, 1949 he married his sweetheart, Lois ?Queenie? Thompson in Logan...Jack died two days short of their 55th Wedding Anniversary. Jack was raised in Cache and Rich Counties, attending school in the Bear Lake Valley. In 1947, he entered the United States Army and served his country faithfully. He chose painting as a vocation and worked as an independent paint contractor for 32 years. A High Priest in the River Heights 2nd Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he has served as a high councilor, genealogist, and home teacher. Active in civic organizations, Jack belonged to the River Heights Lion?s Club and the Logan Elks Club. Jack was happiest when spending time with his family, his grandchildren, and his wife. He loved fishing with his grandchildren, camping, his boat, and traveling. Jack is survived by his wife, Lois ?Queenie? of River Heights; children, Sharri David Dutson, Salt Lake City; Lorri Scott Christensen, Richmond; Ronald Mary Clark, Vancouver, WA; Gayle Darrell Duncan, Mantua; daughter-in-law, Peggy Clark, Springville, UT; 19 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and brother Carl Clark, St. Charles, ID. He was preceded in death by two sons Jack Bruce Clark in 1994 and Kelly Lamar Clark in 1983; his sister, Ruth; and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, October 7, 2004 at the River Heights 2nd Ward, 800 South 600 East. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and Thursday morning at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to services.
