J Lamar Gardner

Deweyville, Utah ? J Lamar Gardner, 73, died Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the Bear River Valley Hospital. He was born November 28, 1933 in Deweyville, Utah to Horace G. and Ethel F. Peterson Gardner. He married Janice Anderson May 23, 1958 in Garland, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple May 23, 1960.
He was reared and educated in Deweyville, Utah graduating from Bear River High School in 1952. He worked as a Civil Service Manager at Hill Air Force Base. He and his brother owned and operated the family farm in Deweyville.
He loved life and enjoyed serving his friends and family. He especially loved being a Grandpa.
He was an Elder in the Deweyville Ward serving in the past in scouting, as a home teacher and ward clerk.
He was a Korean War Veteran.
Surviving are his wife, children: Gary J Merrilee Gardner, Garland, Utah; Dianne Alford and Mike Brown, Clinton, Utah; Bonnie Issa, Salt Lake City, Utah; six grandchildren; one step great granddaughter; one brother, H. Layne Donna Gardner, 29 Palms, California; and three sisters: Flora Walter J. Whiteford, Mesquite, Nevada; Karen Gorden Kirkeby, Bunkerville, Nevada; Gayle Sedgewick, Mesquite, Nevada.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., at the Deweyville Ward Chapel, 10750 North Highway 38, Deweyville, Utah. Family and friends may call Sunday, December 10, 2006 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Monday from 9:15-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment at Deweyville Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
