Reed Nielsen March 18, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple. Dad and Mom started their married life in Portage, UT, where they owned and operated a beautiful ranch. They took great pride in their farmlands, cattle, sheep and beautiful quarter horses. Mother was a wonderful homemaker and always had a hot meal ready for the ?hired hands? who worked for them. She loved to spend time doing yard work, and spent countless hours grooming it to perfection. There they raised four children, sons, Owen, Allan, Ray, and one daughter, Jeane. In their later years they moved to Logan where mother worked as a ?pink lady? at the Logan Regional Hospital and at her son Allan?s health food store Shangri-la.
