While surrounded by those she loved, Irma Jean Burt Wellard, 72, passed away on November 25, 2015.
Irma was welcomed into the world by Violet and Harold Burt on December 23, 1942. She was sealed to Stanley Wellard on December 22, 1961 in the Idaho Falls Temple.
She is survived by her longtime sweetheart, Stanley and children, Alan (Virginia), Kelli (Micah) Cox, Clinton (Susan), Melanie (Casey) Wheeler, and Stacy (Jason) Moller. She was the loving grandma to 20 grandchildren Ashlee, Alan, Justin, Scott, Chelsea, Jeffrey, Andrew, McKenzie, Stephanie, Adrienne, Tiffany, Haley, Colton, Zachary, Trevor, Jacob, Ally, Josiah, Jeremy, and Jesse, and 7 great-grandchildren Makayla, Lillian, Kayden, Jaxton, Brielle, Kaitlyn, and Kyson. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Wendy, and grandson Zachary.
Irma was an amazing pianist and loved to sing to her children and grandchildren. We will fondly remember her favorite lines, “I never promised you a rose garden” or sweetly singing to us “I love you a bushel and a peck.” She was known for her beautiful wedding cakes, crafts, church lessons, story-telling, and being a long time bus driver for the children in our neighborhood and community. Few people knew that she had a love of hunting, fishing, and camping. She was fiercely devoted to her family and friends. She never knew a stranger.
As a family we would like to express our gratitude for all the many caregivers, especially granddaughter Mackenzie, who showed love and concern not only for our mom but for our dad as well.
