Throughout his life, he cherished his membership in an elite group known as the ?Chosen Few?. After military service, Ray, embarked on a career with Utah Power and Light that lasted for thirty-five years. During this same time, Ray became a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many positions including Elder?s Quorum President, and temple worker. He later claimed that his favorite calling was that of Home Teacher.
He is survived by his seven sons: Hyrum Dana, Walter Kallen, Darren Ray, Kerry Lee, Lawrence Jesse, Jeffrey C., and Jerimie Paul; two daughters, Michelle Graham and Callie Ondrako; one brother, Grant and one sister, Faye Carlson; thirty five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents and one sister.
