Howard J. Oyler Howard J. Oyler, 91, died December 29, 2002, at his son?s home in Arcadia, Missouri. He was born August 26, 1911, in East Garland, Utah, the son of Joseph and Fanny Mable Capener Oyler. He married Orpha Wood on June 6, 1935, in the Logan LDS Temple. She died November 15, 1977. He married Phyllis Nicholas Johnson on August 12, 1978, in the Ogden LDS Temple. Howard was reared and educated in the Bear River Valley and was a graduate of Bear River High School. He was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many positions. He is survived by his wife Phyllis of West Jordan; his children, Stacy JoAnn Oyler, Brigham City; Sharon Merlyn King, East Garland; LaMar Brenda Oyler, Arcadia, MO; Marva Mel Kupfer, Tremonton; Kelly Jan Oyler, Hyde Park; Denise Mel Huppi, South Jordan; 30 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; a brother Sherman Norma Oyler, sisters, Lucille Ken Shaffer; Rhoda Gale Welling, Verna Hyde and Lois Archibald. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2003, at 12:00 noon at the Fielding LDS Stake Center, 4375 West 15600 North, Fielding. Friends may call Friday, January 3rd from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Saturday, January 4th from 10:30 to 11:40 at the church.
