Tremonton, Utah - Hilda Rae McDonald , 76, passed into eternity on Saturday, June 14, 2008. Rae was born in Ogden, Utah July 2, 1931 to Silas and Hilda Braegger Morrell. While living in Mountain Home, Utah, she met Evan McDonald, and they were married in Manti Temple October 14, 1949. Evan and Rae made their home in Tremonton, where they raised their family and lived for 52 years. She is survived by six of her children, Lynnae Paris Napoli, Kevin Luann McDonald, Lisa Richard Misrasi, Lee McDonald, Amber Dan Maxwell, Cindy Chris Brightenburg, 26 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Luana Johnny Greer, Sherma Bill Payton, and her brother, Jerry Georgia Morrell, brothers-in-law, Bill Shirley McDonald, Patrick McDonald and sister in-law, Rhea Raymond Dump. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Evan Lynn McDonald and by her oldest son, Mickey Silas McDonald and daughter's in-law, Ronda McDonald and Jeanette Wise. She served two LDS missions to Seattle and San Diego. She served in many church callings such as Primary, Sunday School, Relief Society, Ward Missionary, and Temple worker. She was an avid quilter and blessed the lives of many with her beautiful quilts. She served elementary children by helping them learn to read. She enjoyed bowling and playing pinochle with friends and family, and loved to travel the world. She took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. Rae was an excellent cook, she was the owner of Romell Café and worked at the Crossroads Café. She also worked at Tremonton Apparel, and Lazy Boy, At Rae's request there will be no funeral or viewing. All friends and family are invited to the internment and grave dedication that will be held in Heber City, Utah on Friday, June 20, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. Friends and family are also invited to attend a family gathering and meal which will be held at the Tremonton 5th Ward church at 5:00 P.M 300 S. Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah.
In light of Rae's love of missionary work, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the LDS church General Missionary fund.
