Henry Clifton Teeples, 95, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 27, 1912 in Parker, Idaho to Jacob Edwin and Harriet Jackson Teeples. He was raised in Parker and graduated from Firth High School. He married Shirley Elsa Taylor in the Salt Lake City Temple on January 28, 1942. They lived in Goshen, Idaho owning and operating a farm. They later moved to Cache Valley, living in Logan. He owned and operated his own insulation and electric heating business. Clifton enjoyed singing and was a member of the Imperial Glee Club for several years. He also enjoyed traveling, square dancing, volley ball, pool, chess and especially family vacations. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served a mission to Tahiti and has served in many positions: first counselor in a bishopric and executive secretary to three bishops. He especially loved being a temple worker and served in the Idaho Falls and Logan Temples. He is survived by his children: Ranae Anderson, Las Vegas, NV; Karla Waldner, Cedar City, UT; Mark Teeples, Richmond, UT; Glenda Welch, Hyrum, UT; Malon Teeples, Providence, UT: and Allan Teeples, Logan, UT. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, his wife Shirley, and a son, Deon. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2008 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
