Helen Fishburn Huggins

Bear River City, Utah ? Helen Fishburn Huggins, 89, passed away August 3, 2007 at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born in Brigham City, Utah June 3, 1918 to James A. Fishburn and Martha Ellen Callan. She was the youngest of seven children: Laura, Bob, Jim, Platte, Annora, and Mary all of whom preceded her in death.
She married Emery Holman Huggins March 11, 1935 in Preston, Idaho. They had five children: Pat, Marilyn, Steve, Jeanne, and Frank. They lived most of their married life in Bear River City farming west of Bear River and eventually moving to the farm in 1968. Emery passed away October 3, 2001.
Helen was a member of the Bear River 1st LDS Ward. She and her husband?s marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple January 8, 2003.
She worked for the Box Elder School lunch program for many years and enjoyed her many friendships there.
She is survived by her children: Pat Ridd Grover, Brigham City, Marilyn Norm Durfey, Bountiful, Steve Janet Huggins, Bear River City, Jeanne Mike Allen, Draper, and Frank Huggins, Elwood, and survived by 17 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 23 great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband and one grandson, Tyler Huggins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bear River Ward Chapel, 5870 North 4700 West, Bear River City with Bishop Val Call officiating. A viewing will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Wednesday from 9:30-10:40 a.m. at the church.
Interment at Bear River City Cemetery.
