Lakewood, CA ? Heber Gustav Elm, 91, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007. He was born January 26, 1916 in Bear River City, Utah to Carl Axel and Bertha Ohman Elm. He married Marjorie Hunsaker in Lynwood, CA in 1946. They later solemnized their marriage in the Los Angeles Temple. Marjorie died September 8, 2001.
Heber was reared in Bear River City and graduated from Bear River High School. At age 17 moved to California and during WWII served in the US Navy in Sand Diego, Pearl Harbor and Okinawa.
He was a building superintendent for Sheldon Appel in Downey, CA. He enjoyed fishing, music and photography. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are his son, Carl of Lakewood, CA. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and one brother, Ferd.
A graveside service was held Friday, April 20, 2007 at the Bear River City Cemetery.
