Harold Neil Donohoo

November 17, 1928 — July 25, 2010

Tremonton ? Harold Neil Donohoo, 81, returned to his Heavenly Father July 25, 2010 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Neil as he was more commonly known was born November 17, 1928 in Murray, Utah to William Robert and Eleanor Mickelsen Donohoo. He was raised in East Crescent until 1943 when the family moved to Clearfield. Neil graduated from Davis High School. He served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper during the Korean War. He worked for Hill Air Force Base and Scott Air Force Base in Illinois as a Titan missile technician, electronics specialist and technical writer for the Titan missile manuals. After retiring, he went to work at Thiokol Corporation as a configuration Management Specialist. Neil married Romona Hoskins on February 5, 1954. Together they raised four sons and three daughters. She preceded him in death May 4, 1994. He married Beverly Kidman on August 7, 2000. Through this marriage he gained six additional children with whom he displayed a true fatherly love. Neil was a very happy person, kind and gentle with a wonderful sense of humor and was a big teaser which the grandchildren loved and will truly miss. He easily made friends with everyone he met. Neil loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He spent many hours in his garden and shared his crops with many. Neil was an avid fan of basketball, football and baseball. In 1996 much to the surprise of his children he began square dancing and he and Beverly have danced and traveled to dances all over the United State including Alaska and Hawaii as well as Australia and New Zealand. He and Beverly were member of the Peach City Good Sams Club and enjoyed traveling with them. Surviving are his Wife Beverly, Sister June Johnson, Children: Michael Steggell, JoAnn Tymm Fowers, DiAnn Leonard Crews, Reynold Steggell, Christine Brown, Lynn Tammy Donohoo and Kevin Donohoo, 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his additional children through marriage: Kelly Nora Kidman, Randy Linda Kidman, Gene Kristine Kidman, Tracy Theresa Kidman, Paula Richard Burton and Penny Kidman; 23 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife Romona, and four brothers. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 2, 2010 10:30 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, UT, with Bishop C. Blake Christensen officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 ? 10:15 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will follow in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded. We love you Dad and will miss you until we meet again.
