Gwendolyn Laub Cornwall

July 28, 1911 — September 14, 2005

Tremonton - Gwendolyn Laub Cornwall, 94, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2005. Born to John Henry and Belva Hess Laub July 28, 1911 in Fielding, Utah. She married Kenneth Henry Cornwall October 3, 1935 they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away May 8, 1987. She lived in Bear River Valley all her life. She graduated from Bear River High School and LDS Seminary.
Gwen worked at JC Pennys, Cowley's and Falk's for a total of 30 years. She loved her family, cooking, canning, baking, crocheting and sewing. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in numerous callings.
She had six children: Nedra Donrey Secrist, Brigham City, Gloria Bud Knudsen, Portage, Kenneth Laub Katherine Cornwall, Denver, Sherry Lorin Bingham, Collinston, Sharon Ronald King, Garland, James Ernest Cornwall, Bear River, two sister-in-laws: Beth Laub Vance and Eva Lou Laub, both of St. George, 21 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by one son, Kenneth L. Cornwall; four brothers: Roland, Merrill, Rex and Max Laub, two sisters: Fern McDermaid and Gertrude Burns, one grandson and two great granddaughters.
We wish to express a special thanks to the Bear River Care Center for their loving care of our Mother.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Tremonton Fifth Ward Chapel, 300 South Tremont Street, Tremonton. Friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment at Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
