Gwen Wamsley Satterthwaite

Gwen Wamsley Satterthwaite, 86, died Wednesday, January 30, 2002 in Bountiful, Utah at the home of her daughter. She was born on February 26, 1915 in Garden City, Utah, a daughter of Isaac Hyrum Wamsley and Mabel Bryson Wamsley. She married Frank H. Sattethwaite on April 8, 1932 in Garden City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She received her education in the Bear Lake schools. She lived in Garden City for 23 years and in Logan for 64 years. She worked for J.C. Penny and Sears Department Stores for many years She was a member of the LDS church, having served in many positions, including Young Womens Mutual Improvement Association and as a visiting teacher. Gwen loved dancing with her husband and enjoyed listening to country music. She was the mother of three children and is survived by: One daughter and son-in-law, LaRue and Robert Bud Paul, Bountiful; two sons and daughter-in-law, F. DeLoyd Satterthwaite, Elko, Nevada; LaVon W. and MarRae Satterthwaite, Riverton; 11 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; two brothers and sister-in-law, Keith Wamsley, and Clayton and Pat Wamsley, all of Randolph, Utah. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 4, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in the Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, 162 East 400 North, Logan, with son LaVon Satterthwaite conducting. Friends may call at the Nelson Funeral Home on Sunday, February 3, 2002 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
