Grethe Christensen Veibell of Beaver Dam returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 27, 2005 from heart failure with her husband and children at her side.
Grethe was born January 25, 1935 to Aldrid and Gudrun Jensen Christensen. She graduated from Bear River High in 1953. She married James Alton Veibell in the Logan LDS Temple October 24, 1955 and recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. She was a member of the LDS church and held callings in the Relief Society Presidency, Mutual, Primary, Sunday School, Extraction and Data Entry, and enjoyed decorating for many of the Gold and Green Balls. She worked for Dr. Rosenthal in Logan, Dr. Jack Johnson in Tremonton and Beehive Clothing in Logan as Assistant Manager where she retired in 1995. Grethe enjoyed painting windows for the holidays and oil painting.
She is survived by her husband and children, Debbie Tom Stokes of Tremonton, Craig Krisanne Veibell of Beaver Dam and Holly Randy Spatig of Franklin, ID, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren the sixth due in January. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, A. Marius Hanna Christensen, Tremonton, Dalene Bruce Thornley, Phoenix, AZ, Gail Darwin John, Salt Lake City, UT, Alvin Carolyn Chistensen, Tremonton and David Elaine Christensen, Lake Havasu, AZ.
Friends may call at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, Friday, December 2, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Beaver Ward, 16025 North Beaver Dam Road, Beaver Dam, after which, services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Deweyville Cemetery.
