Grant Snow Nelson Hyrum, UT Grant Snow Nelson 76 passed away on Monday, November, 28, 2011, surrounded by his loving family in his home.
He was born on May 28, 1935 in St. George, UT to Wesley A. & Althea Snow Nelson.
He married Doris Baldwin in St. George on Jan. 10, 1956. They were later sealed for time & all eternity in the Logan Temple on May 4, 2002.
Grant graduated from Dixie High School.
He held numerous jobs, but mostly trucking. He worked for Signal Oil, Barlocker Turkey Farms, and Nelson Supply in St. George. Grant then moved to Salt Lake City in 1955, and worked for IML Freight for 47 years, Delta McLaine, & Northwest Trucking. He held various positions in the Teamsters Union Local 222. He also managed the Sage Bruch Restaurant & gas station in Tabiona, Utah for 2 years. He retired in 1984 and moved to Hyrum, Utah in 1998.
He was always ready to help people. He enjoyed his association with friends, loved to visit, travel, hunt, and fish. He was very handy and could fix just about anything. He will surely be missed. He was a member of the Hyrum 15th ward at the time of his passing.
Grant is survived by his wife, Doris Baldwin, Hyrum; his son, Grant Dee Laurie Nelson, Wellsville; his daughter, Trudy Lynn Christopher Bolduc, Hyrum; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, Ronald Nelson, Veyo, UT & sister, Althea Rose Loosie, Fruit Heights, UT.
Grant was preceded in death by his mother, father, daughter Margery Lee Michael Woolley, and sister Karlene Paxman.
Grant wished to be cremated so no funeral service or flowers will be requested by the deceased & his family.
