Grant Arthur Haymore

Grant Arthur Haymore, 75, passed away peacefully at home in Hyrum, Utah on July 10, 2008. He was born March 14, 1933 in Prescott, Arizona to Arthur Franklin and Margaret May Haymore. As a child, he grew up in Gilbert, Arizona working on the family dairy farm and graduating from Gilbert High School in 1951. His family then moved to Nicolaus, California. Shortly after the move, he was drafted into the US Army during which time he served as Physical Training Instructor and worked for the Military Police. After two years of service, he was honorably discharged. He married Audrey Rice in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on October 6, 1955. They made their home in Nicolaus, California, where he and his father worked on the family dairy farm. In 1973 Grant and Audrey settled in Cache Valley where he started his own dairy farm. Before retiring, he worked for EA Miller. Grant leaves behind his wife, Audrey, of 52 years; his children: Edward A. Haymore, Loma Rica, Ca.; Carolyn Kelly Smith, Sandy, Ut; Grant W. Sheri Haymore, Riverton, Ut; Lisa Kim Clark, Woodland Hills, Ut; Kristine Lance Clark, North Salt Lake, Ut; and Margaret Ryan Poppleton, Queen Creek, Az; 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Brenda Haymore and Jennifer Horrocks. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Hyrum 5th Ward Chapel, 111 North 400 West, Hyrum. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery with military honors.
