Gordon Brown Lindley Hyrum Gordon Brown Lindley, 85 passed away at his daughter's home on April 22, 2014. He was one of 8 children born to Esasias Lowe and Mary Brown Lindley. He married his life partner Roxie Postel Lindley and after 64 years together were only parted for the past 7 months, due to her death in September. During their life together they raised 5 children. He enjoyed his family first, as well as raising a garden and calf's, trips to Wendover, fishing, donuts, and most of all laughter.
He is survived by children: Carol Dale Smith, Bonnie Brad Judkins, Brent Karlene Lindley, Roxane Mike, deceased Scothern, 15 Grandchildren, 31 Great grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild, a sister Dorothy Hall, as well as several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Gordon was preceded in death by: His wife Roxie Lindley, son Dennis Griffin and his wife Diana, sons in law Rodney Howells and Mike Scothern, 3 great grandchildren, his parents, 1 sister and 6 brothers.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Access Hospice: with special recognition to his nurse Adrian Jenson, and full time aids Devin Dockstader, and Kirk Bingham. Dr. Douglas Maready. Roxane adds an extra special thank you to my siblings and daughters: Amber Griffith, Alicia Fricke, and Amanda Scothern for the endless hours of so much love and devotion to assist with his care. Friends, family and neighbors for their prayers, support, visits and bringing meals, Our spouses and families for their support and understanding of many days away to assist in caring for dad.
A viewing will be held at Nelson Funeral Home Monday April 28, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Nelson funeral home 162 East 400 North Logan, Utah conducted by Bishop Wayne Jorgensen. Interment will be at Wellsville City Cemetery.
