Golden Ransom Burton, 91, passed away Monday, November 20, 2006 at his home. Golden was born June 13, 1915 in Cleveland, Idaho to Caleb Johnson and Agnes Ransom Burton. He was the sixth child of eleven children. Golden married his sweetheart, Doris Stander in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 15, 1938.
Golden worked hard all his life to support his family. He operated a farm and worked at the Bar-B Ranch, Ervin Stohles Grain and Box Elder County Road Dept. He was a member of the Box Elder County Posse and loved training horses.
He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various positions.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Burton, Thatcher, UT; children: Jeanne Ruelen Egli, Garland, UT, Darwin Gloria Burton, Stockton, CA; Jeri Richard Fox, Broomfield, CO; Christine David Percival, Petersboro, UT; sister, Venna Waters; brother, Lynn Burton; 15 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday, November 24, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Thatcher-Penrose Church, 11475 West 10400 North, Thatcher. Family and friends may call Friday at 11:00-12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment at Brigham City Cemetery
