Gloria Dean Motes

October 4, 1935 — April 5, 2008

If in the end of our lives are the stories we leave behind, then Gloria has surely out lived us all. By those who knew her best, Gloria will be missed for her amazing gifts of love, laughter and dancing, regardless of circumstance. Early struggles inspired her to live life by her own rules and develop a spirit that would never be tamed. Gloria was born in Wellsville and passed away at her home in Logan. She is survived by her siblings: Deverl Hoskin, Elaine Bright, Sherma Brown; her children: Doug Anderson Zan, Sandy Dewey, Jeff Lewis Sharon, Vickie Munson Ron, Roger Motes Sissy; her grandchildren: Scott, Sharron, Haley, Pamela, Nicki, Stacey and great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Access Home Care and Hospice, especially to Diane Crocket and Tamara Noble. Together they made the last few months of her life more bearable and enabled her to actually enjoy the prison her home had become, if only for short periods of time during their visits. In her passing we celebrate Gloria's refusal to allow her love to be bound by rules, hardship or the demons she battled. We know that today she is laughing and dancing again with those who have waited so long to welcome her home. All who would like to join us in celebrating Gloria's life are invited to attend a gathering in her honor at the Logan Senior Citizen Center located at 240 North 100 East in Logan on May 3, 2008 at 12:00 noon. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com . In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Logan Senior Citizens Center in Gloria's name. Mom, it has been a rich pleasure to spend a bit of life in your wonderful company and we are confident that you are finally free of pain. We have always loved you and always will. Godspeed until we meet again.
