Tremonton, UT - Glenice Taylor Walston Newman, 80, passed away Monday, January 29, 2007. She was born March 16, 1926 in Salem, Utah to Angus Danley and Lillian Margrette Martin Taylor. Glenice was reared and educated in Salem and Spanish Fork, Utah and received her GED at age 50. She married Henry Cornelious Walston, Jr. in the Salt Lake LDS Temple May 6, 1943. He died September 9, 1967. She married Joseph Marion ?Mick? Newman in the Ogden LDS Temple June 22, 1977. He died March 4, 1998.
Glenice is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had been a teacher of Primary and Sunday School. She was an active member of the Relief Society organization. She had also served as----- Tremonton Stake and Ward Single Adult Representative for many years. She worked at Thiokol in the publication office. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, counted cross stitch and tatting.
Surviving are her children: Barbara Richard Gill, Tremonton, UT, Kenneth Cathy Walston, Tucson, AZ and Elaine Barry Negus, Garden City, UT; 13 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; also surviving are children and grandchildren of Mick Newman; two brothers: Martin D. Vera and Gerald Joan Taylor; and a sister-in-law, Frances Taylor.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husbands and brother, Sterling.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Bothwell LDS Ward Chapel, 10350 West 11600 North, Bothwell with Bishop Michael Bowcutt officiating. Friends and family may call Friday, February 2, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Saturday at the church from 9:30-10:40 a.m. Interment at Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
