TREMONTON?Glendon Burgin Kay, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 05, 2002, at Bear River Care Center in Tremonton. He was born on May 5, 1911, to Abraham and Ellen Burgin Kay in Elwood, Utah. On February 18, 1942 he married his sweetheart, Jean Hansen, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Jean passed away in November of 1998. Glen was a lifelong resident of Bear River Valley and attended Bear River High School. He loved to fish and camp and was know around town as ?The Bicycle Man.? A high priest in the LDS Church, Tremonton Riverview Ward, he served in numerous callings?he especially loved his calling as a high priest. He was well known for asking if you ?wanted an uppercut? and then proceeding to give you one. Glen is survived by three children, Bettiann David McLaughlin, Colemen, TX, Robert Annette Kay, Tremonton, and James Mary Ann Kay, Tremonton; 10 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; and a sister Margaret Kay Waldren. His loving wife of 56 years, Jean, preceded him in death along with two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2002, at the Riverview LDS Chapel, 10750 North Hwy 69, Deweyville, with Bishop Hunter Barrus conducting. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening, July 10, 2002, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, and on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
