TRENTON, Utah ? Glen Lyle Griffin, 74, passed away March 22, 2002 after a nine-month battle with cancer. He was born July 22, 1927 in Clarkston, Utah, the oldest son of Aubrey Myler Griffin & Pearl Sarah Thompson. He married Nola Pitcher on March 3, 1947, in the Logan LDS Temple after serving in the U.S. Army. They have been long time residents of Trenton. Glen served in various callings throughout his life and particularly enjoyed scouting and missionary work. He loved gardening and always had a beautiful, well-tended garden. He enjoyed sharing his harvest with family and friends. Glen loved meeting and greeting people and after spending several years farming, decided to become a distributor for the Fuller Brush Company, and later added Watkins products. During the 38 years he was in sales, he met many people and enjoyed his association with them. He traveled throughout northern Utah, Southern Idaho, and western Wyoming, and was always easily recognizable in his truck and camper. He is survived by his wife Nola, 2 sons and 7 daughters, Cleon Beckie, Clarkston; Janet Ed Cottle, Trenton; Arlene Larry Larson, Richmond; LuAnn Martin Coon, Salt Lake City; Tami Tim Johnson, Benson; Barbara Griffin, Smithfield; Ellen Doug Williams, West Jordan; Saralyn Griffin, Smithfield; Matthew Crystal Griffin, Rexburg, Idaho; 40 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 sister-in-law, Ellis Marilyn, Ogden; Louis Nancy, North Logan, Glade Janice, Trenton; Shirlene Allen Peck, Brigham City, & Jenele Sid Garrett, Smithfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, V. E. Griffin; 1 daughter-in-law, Dawnetta Griffin; 3 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2002, in the Trenton/Cornish Ward Chapel, 1200 North 400 East, Trenton, at noon. Friends and family may call on Monday, March 25, 2002, at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 S. Main, Smithfield, Utah, from 6-8 p.m. and 10:30 ? 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Interment will be at the Trenton Cemetery.
