Gladys Richardson Norr

April 22, 1918 — June 26, 2002

Gladys Richardson Norr Deweyville: Gladys Richardson Norr, 84, died June 26, 2002, at the Brigham City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 22, 1918, in Plain City, UT the daughter of Oscar Child and Mary Irene Sharp Richardson. She married Myrl Alvin Norr on March 27, 1937, in Brigham City. Their marriage was solemnized January 7, 1942, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died January 15, 1992. She was reared and educated in Plain City until 1930. The family then moved to Tremonton where she continued her education. She graduated from Bear River High School and Seminary in 1935. She worked as a dental assistant until the time of her marriage. She was a member of the Deweyville Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she had served as a counselor and secretary of the MIA, a Relief Society Counselor and work day leader, on the Genealogy Committee and as her husbands right hand while he served as Bishop of the Deweyville Ward. She had served as the secretary of the Stake Sunday School. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Joseph Knudsen, Deweyville, grandchildren, Darren Connie Jo Knudsen, Auburn, WA; Cami Shane Perry, Tigard, OR; Cory Krista Knudsen, Clearfield, UT; four great grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Harvey Roberts, Yuma, AZ and Mae Wheatley, Brigham City. Her parents, husband, four brothers and one sister preceded her in death. The family would like to thank the staff at the Brigham City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care during the past months. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 1, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at the Deweyville LDS Ward Chapel, 10750 North Highway 38. Friends may call Sunday, June 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Monday, July 1st from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church.
