George Wellington Stringham, beloved husband, father, and brother, died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Logan, Utah on December 26, 2006. He was born July 21, 1947 in Shelley, Idaho to Bryce Junior Stringham and June Sant Stringham, the second of twelve children, and was raised in Ogden, Utah. George married Rosalie Hellewell in May 1968 and they had three children: Don Alan, Cheryl Ann, and David Benjamin. The marriage ended in divorce. George later married his eternal companion, Carolyn Ann Hansen, February 1, 1975 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Utah Temple. George was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was employed in the Interstate Trucking industry for most of his life. He is survived by his wife and four children: Jared Andrew; Sara Christian Anderson; Reba; and Anna; all of Logan; two grandchildren and his three children from his previous marriage. He is also survived by his four brothers: Byron, Layton, Utah; Monte, Ontario, Oregon; Jeff, Layton, Utah; and Jacob, Salt Lake City, Utah; and six sisters: Dianne Erwin Watkins, Aurora, Colorado; Doris David Black, Clinton, Utah; Connie Larry Martin, Hurricane, Utah; Karen Rex Morgan, Mesa, Arizona; Lois Scott Mattingly, Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and Rita James Coley, Hurricane, Utah. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joy Lambert. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at the Logan 10th Ward LDS Chapel, 792 North 500 East, Logan, Utah. A viewing will take place at the church from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home.
