Gary K Esplin

Gary K Esplin age 73 passed away peacefully in the early hours of January 24th, 2024, from complications of pneumonia. Gary was born on August 2, 1950, in Preston Idaho to Beulah and Angus Esplin and was the youngest of 6 siblings. His love for horses started at an early age as he grew up on his family farm and led to chariot horse racing later in life. He graduated from Skyview High School and Trade Technical School in Salt Lake City. Gary had various employments throughout his life such as Wurlitzer Factory, Jensen Historical Farm, USU, Physical Plant, and IFA. Most recently involved in the automotive repair business with his son Matt Esplin.
Gary has a son Mathew Gary Esplin (Susanne Spring), a daughter Katie M Esplin (Jason), 5 grandchildren, Tracy, Tiffany, Austin, Gentry and Otto.
There will be a viewing on Sunday January 28th from 6-8pm at Nelson Funeral Home at 85 Main St. Smithfield Utah. A grave side service will be held on Monday January 29th at 11 am at the Preston cemetery, 1451 N 800 E Preston Idaho.
