Garnett Nate James

November 16, 1949 — April 25, 2007

Garnett Nate James our loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully in Logan Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with breast cancer on April 25, 2007. She was born November 16, 1949 in Montpelier, Idaho to Stan and Fern Nate. She married her loving husband Alan D. James in the Logan Temple on December 18, 1970. She grew up in Cokeville, Wyoming and spent most of her married life in Hyrum, Utah where she enjoyed raising her four sons. Her greatest joy was found being with her family and spending many hours at the ball field watching her sons play baseball. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed serving those around her in her many callings in the Relief Society and Young Women. Some of her hobbies included spoiling her grandkids, crocheting, oil painting, reading, crafts, visiting with her friends, and playing games with her family. She is survived by her husband, Alan; four sons, Robert Misty of Centerville, Mont Becky of Layton, Blake of Hyrum, and Travis Mandy of Logan; and four grandchildren, Trevor, Madison, Carter, and Bailey. She is also survived by her parents Stan and Fern Nate, three brothers, two sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Hyrum North Stake Center, 245 North 750 East. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com . Special thanks to the offices of Dr. Nash and Dr. Ben-Jacob, and the many people that assisted in her care at Logan Regional Hospital.
