Frederick William Brown

October 8, 1911 — November 15, 2004

Frederick William Brown, 93, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2004. He was born October 8, 1911 in Logan, the son of George and Clara Brown. He grew up in Logan and graduated from the local school. He had three sisters and seven brothers: Vurtue Lorenzo Myler; Evelyn Cecil Pitkin; Ada Percival Swanson; Ingram; Amos Ada; Bernal Zelda; Sam Gladys; Harold Johanna; Harry Norma and Lowell Helen Brown. All of which preceded him in death. Fred married Verral Kidman on September 25, 1940 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Fred worked for Pacific Fruit while in Logan, and then in 1941 they moved to California, where Fred worked for Hi Shear Corporation. After his retirement, they returned to Utah in 1980. Fred is survived by his wife Verral, two children: Steven Julie Brown and Dixie Rustin Delling. Together they have eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Fred was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings including Scout Master and High Council member. He was an outstanding example of a husband and his faith, and surely touched many lives through the years. He loved to hunt and fish, and when he could no longer do these things he had plenty of interesting stories to tell. We know the fishing will be much better now he is with his Father in Heaven. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, November 22, 2004 at the Logan City Cemetery. Friends and family may call Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
