Logan, Utah ? Francis Thomas Dupree Frank Dupree returned to his Heavenly Father, dying of natural causes , Tuesday, October 26, 2004, in Logan, Utah. Born January 14, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York to Frank Dupree Jr. and Marjorie Veronica Foley; he was baptized in the Roman Catholic Church; raised in Patterson, New Jersey and attended high school in Palatka, Florida, while his father served with the US Army 1st Division at Fort Benning Georgia, North Africa, Italy and Europe WWII. He moved to Provo, Utah in 1945; served two years in the US Navy 1945-1947 and graduated from Brigham Young University BA Music in 1951. He converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on June 1, 1949. He married Norma Dean of Ephraim, Utah on June 5, 1950 in the Manti, Utah Temple. He was employed in Purchasing for North American Aviation Rockwell International Corporation in Los Angeles and Tulsa from 1952 to 1971. He moved to Logan, Utah in 1971; employed at Utah State University in Contracts and Water Research Laboratory from 1971 until his retirement in 1992. Frank served in various church callings and community functions, including composing music for the Martin Harris Pageant, Sounds of Zion Productions, and The Great Prologue Regional Pageant. He established Crestmark Orchestra for 17 years which provided USU Glenn Miller SunBurst Club productions and numerous charitable, community, and political events and the New Year?s Eve celebration at Sun Valley, etc. He served a mission 1998-1999 with his wife, Norma, in the Germany Düsseldorf Mission. The love of his life includes his wife, family, church, music, and sports especially BYU football. Frank is survived by his wife, Norma Dupree, their six children, Michael Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mark Idaho Falls; Colette Yates Providence, Utah; April Whitlock Worland, WY., Lisa Henderson Providence, and Lori Derr Hyrum, Utah; their 26 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, Aunt Alice Hanlon Brooklyn, NY; Aunt Fran Foley Iowa City, Iowa; Dottie Squitierri Chicago cousin, but nearly a sister, and Gail Foley and Jerry Hanlon cousins. To those who by their acts of kindness expressed their sympathy and friendship at the time of of our beloved husband and father, we wish to express heartfelt thanks. We wish especially to thank the Ward Bishopric, the Relief Society, the staff at Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and our friends and all others who assisted. Funeral services will be held at Providence 10th Ward Chapel at 355 Canyon Road, Providence Utah south on 100 East onto Canyon Road at 12:00 noon Friday, October 29, 2004 Viewing 10am to 11:30am prior to services. Also, a viewing will be held Thursday evening, October 25 6pm to 8pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Interment will be in the Providence City Center.
