Floyd Hideo Kaneko

March 2, 1919 — August 2, 2004

Tremonton - Our cherished husband, father and grandfather, Floyd Hideo Kaneko, died on Monday, August 2, 2004, at the age of 85. He was born on March 2, 1919, to Hana Fujiwara and Ichimatsu Kaneko in Clearfield, Utah. He grew up on a farm in Gunnison, Utah, learning the farming trade that he loved.
Floyd Sige married Leona Tanaka on April 2, 1949 in Tremonton, which became their home for the next 55 years. They enjoyed working together and were known for their delicious tomatoes and other vegetables. Floyd, known for his hard work ethic, also worked for Schreiber Foods and retired from there after 12 years. He had an active life with family and friends that included playing basketball, bowling for trophies, shooting pool and catching the big fish. His caring and loving presence will be missed by all that have had the pleasure to know him.
Surviving are his wife, and five children, Nancy Dave Mark Treasure, Barbara Randy Williams, Stan Julie Kaneko, Curtis Robbin Kaneko and Michelle Montgomery Jeff Lathrom, three siblings, Flora Ben Tanaka, Anna Sugano, and Dorothy Takahashi, 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. We will never forget our "Grampy" because of the impression he made in our lives and in our hearts. His strong character and love of life will forever change us.
His parents, sibling, Daisy Tsutsui, Noble Kaneko and Royal Kaneko, three infant sisters and a granddaughter Chelsey Kaneko preceded him in death.
