Ferris Tim Jensen Weeks, 81, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2004 at his home in Smithfield. He was born August 29, 1923 in Smithfield to Ephraim Weeks and Rosa Christine Jensen. He was raised in Smithfield, attending the local schools, as well as North Cache in Richmond. During his youth, he worked on the family farm. This instilled a strong work ethic, which he passed on to his posterity. He enlisted in the Army in 1943, serving his country valiantly during World War II. After his discharge from the military, he went to work for Hill Air Force Base and continued working there for over 30 years until his retirement in 1978. After his retirement, he repaired lawnmowers at his home. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Tim married Delores Salvesen April 25, 1946. She passed away in April of 1992, a few days short of their 46th wedding anniversary. Together they raised a family of three daughters and two sons. They had the opportunity to live in Clearfield, before returning to Smithfield. Tim is survived by his children: Patricia Terry Barnett, North Logan; Dennis Theresa Weeks, Boise, Idaho; Joseph Marsha Rawlins Weeks, Lewiston; Sheri Jeff Spatig, North Logan; and Melanie Ted Bodily, Lewiston. He is also survived by his brothers: Grant Nola Weeks, Page, Arizona; Lynn Beverly Weeks, Layton, Utah and Robert Phyllis Weeks, Abilene, Texas. He leaves behind 10 grandchildren, whom he loved very much. He was preceded in by his parents; his wife, Delores; two sisters, three brothers and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, November 26, 2004 at the Smithfield 1st/2nd Ward Chapel with Bishop Steven Jenson conducting. Friends and family may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery with military honors.
